Windsor Acquires Draft Choices from Mississauga, Shugg and Cantin Traded to the Majors
(Windsor) Windsor Spitfires Vice-President and General Manger Warren Rychel today announced that the Spitfires have acquired a second round pick in each of the 2013, 2015 and 2016 OHL Priority Selections as well as a conditional 15th round choice in 2014 from the Mississauga St. Michael??s Majors.
In exchange, the Spitfires have sent forward Justin Shugg and defenceman Marc Cantin to the Majors.
??As an organization, we felt that it was important to look towards the future and these picks will secure the future of the team. I can??t thank Shuggie and Cants enough for what they??ve brought to this organization. They are first-class young men and we were fortunate to have them as part of the Windsor Spitfires. We wish them the best of luck in Mississauga as the Majors will host the MasterCard Memorial Cup in 2011,? said Warren Rychel.
