LATE ANGLE GOAL GETS SPITS PAST OTTERS

(Windsor, ON) –┬áTyler Angle’s goal with less than six minutes to play in the third period held up as the game winner in a 2-1 win over the Erie Otters on Thursday night at the WFCU Centre.

The Spits trailed 1-0 for a full 25 minutes, before Luke Boka (2) evened the game a little more than three minutes into the third period, splitting two Erie defenders before beating Daniel Murphy (34 saves) between the legs.

Hayden Fowler (3) had the only goal for the Otters, who lost for the first time in three starts.

Kari Piiroinen won for the second time on the young season, making 19 saves.
