The Windsor Spitfires would like to release the following statement from our President and Governor John Savage:

“As many of you know on March 12, 2020 the Ontario Hockey League paused all hockey activity. Today March 17, 2020, the Premier of Ontario declared a state of emergency until March 31, 2020. The City of Windsor has closed all recreational facilities including the WFCU Centre until Monday April 6, 2020. We support all the efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. From now until Monday April 6, 2020, the offices of the Windsor Spitfires Hockey Club will be closed. Staff will work from home if possible and will be directed to volunteer their time to assist their family, friends and neighbors coping with this pandemic. Full time staff will continue to be employed with no lay-offs and part time staff will be compensated for the March 12th and 19th home games as if they were played. The Windsor Spitfires Hockey Club will also explore ways to support and assist our community and business partners.  The health and safety of all is our priority now.  Everyone please be safe and fight the spread of the COVID-19 virus.”
