(Windsor, ON) – General Manager Warren Rychel has announced defenceman Logan Stanley will miss about four months after having surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.

The injury occurred during the club’s 4-3 shootout loss in Kitchener back on January 17th.

Rychel says the surgery, which took place today in Winnipeg, puts Stanley’s availability for the 2017 Mastercard Memorial Cup (May 18th to 28th) tournament in doubt.

“We’re obviously going to miss Stan on the back-end,” Rychel said. “He plays a ton of minutes in key situations. Other guys are going to have to step up back there while he’s out.”

Rychel says the club is dealing with another pair of injuries that will keep regulars out.

Centre Logan Brown will miss the next four weeks after suffering a right hand injury in the club’s 2-1 win over Niagara on Saturday night, while left winger Jeremiah Addison is expected to be out two weeks recovering from a bruised lung that resulted from being struck by a Sean Day shot in the same game.
