Spitfires Acquire Goaltender Matt Onuska from the London Knights


The Windsor Spitfires have acquired goaltender Matt Onuska from the London Knights in exchange for a 6th round pick (KGN 2022) and a conditional 4th round pick (WSR 2024).

Onuska is a 19 year old from Waterloo Ontario. He was drafted in 2018 by the Kingston Frontenacs.

Onuska played in 2 games during the 2019-2020 season and 3 games during the 2021-2022 season.

Bill Bowler spoke on the trade. 

“We have strengthened the goaltending position.” Bowler said. “We see potential with Matt and he is a welcome addition to our club.”

Matt Onuska spoke on the trade.

“It feels exciting, I think the Spitfires have a great team.” Onuska said. “I am look forwarding to meeting the guys and getting started.”
