Cuylle Gets Second Crack at World Junior Championships

WINDSOR, ON.

The Windsor Spitfires Captain is set to make his 2nd stint with the 2022 World Junior Team. Last years tournament was cancelled after four days of play due to a COVID outbreak. Team Canada went 2-0-0 through the first two games however those games will be replayed. The rescheduled tournament starts on August 9th and runs through the 20th in Edmonton, Alberta.

In the first tournament, Cuylle had two assists through two games and was a plus 3.

Cuylle, 20, is a native of Toronto, Ontario had a fantastic junior season with the Spitfires. Cuylle was named the put up career highs in goals with 43, assists with 37 and points with 80. Cuylle was also a plus 22. In the playoffs, Cuylle played in 22 games while recording 15 goals and 16 assists for 31 points.

Cuylle and Canada will kick off the tournament on Wednesday, August 10th against Latvia at 6:00PM ET.
