AFANASYEV SIGNS WITH NASHVILLE PREDATORS

(Windsor, ON) – Spitfires rookie forward Egor Afanasyev has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Nashville Predators.
Afanasyev, 18, was selected by the Predators in the second round (45th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
The native of Tver, Russia was acquired by the Spitfires in the trade that sent Mikey DiPietro to the Ottawa 67s back in December, 2018.
On the strength of back-to-back multi-point games, in wins over Flint and London this week, Egor ranks second on the club with 12 points (5G, 7A) in 11 games.
