ADDISON RETURNS WITH TWO GOALS IN 7-1 WIN OVER GENS

(Windsor, ON) – Jeremiah Addison scored twice in his return to the lineup, as the Spits beat the Oshawa Generals 7-1 Thursday night at the WFCU Centre.

After spotting Oshawa (30-16-3-2) an early lead on Jack Studnicka’s 13th of the season, goals from Cristiano DiGiacinto (12), Adam Laishram (11) and Addison (20) followed in a span of 3:37.

Addison, who missed seven games with a bruised lung, added his second goal and team-leading 21st of the season, to put the game well out of reach at 10:55 of the second period.

Sean Day (14), Aaron Luchuk (20) and Mikhail Sergachev had the other goals for Windsor (33-12-5-2), which stayed within two points of West Division leading Sault Ste Marie with the win.

Michael DiPietro made 26 saves for his 25th win of the season.

The Spits are off Friday, before heading out of the road for stops in Hamilton (Saturday) and Erie (Sunday).
