Spitfires Go “CODE RED” for the 2010 OHL Playoffs, Round One, Game One of the Spits Opening Series Announced

(Windsor) The Windsor Spitfires today announced that the team will host game one of their first round series of the 2010 playoffs at the WFCU Centre on Thursday, March 18th, 2010 at 7:05 pm against either the Guelph Storm, Saginaw Spirit or Erie Otters. Attending fans are also encouraged to wear red for each Spitfire home game during the playoffs as part of the Spits “CODE RED!” theme for the post-season.

(Windsor) Goaltender Philipp Grubauer is the Windsor Spitfires Player of the Week as selected by the Spitfires coaching staff for the week ending Sunday, March 7th, 2010. In two starts last week, Grubauer led the CHL’s number three ranked team to a perfect 2-0 record, as he posted a 0.50 goals against average with one shutout and a .975 save percentage.
On Thursday, Grubauer stopped 18 of 19 shots as the Spitfires defeated the Saginaw Spirit 7-1 at the WFCU Centre. ...
