TRIO INVITED TO HOCKEY CANADA CAMPS

(Windsor, ON) – A trio of Spitfires have been invited to compete for a spot on Hockey Canada tournament rosters.

On Tuesday, first-round pick Wyatt Johnston was among 112 players invited to Calgary to participate in Canada’s national under-17 development camp, taking place July 19-26 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park.

During the week-long camp, 12 goaltenders, 36 defencemen and 64 forwards will be split into six teams for on-and off-ice training, fitness testing, intra-squad games and classroom studies, with an eye toward representing Canada at the 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, November 2nd to 9th in Medicine Hat, Alberta and Swift Current, Saskatchewan.

Earlier today, Cuylle and Foudy were named among 44 players invited to Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team selection camp, July 26 to 30th, at the same venue in Calgary.

Four goaltenders, 14 defencemen and 26 forwards will compete for a chance to represent Canada at 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Breclav, Czech Republic, and Piestany, Slovakia, August 5th to 10th.
