SIRMAN SCORES TWICE AS SPITS TOP PETES

 

(Buffalo, NY) – William Sirman scored twice, as the Spitfires beat the Peterborough Petes 4-1 Sunday at the Ontario Hockey League Preseason Showcase in Buffalo.

The win wrapped a perfect weekend following wins over Flint and North Bay.

Mathew MacDougall (2) and Igor Larionov (2) had the other goals, while Adam Timleck responded for the Petes, who were outshot 31-20.

Lucas Patton earned the win in goal, going the distance in his first start of the preseason.

The Spits are off Monday, but return to practice on Tuesday in preparation for a home and home series with the Sarnia Sting September 15th and 16th.
