GIGNAC NAMED ALUMNI ASSOCIATION COORDINATOR

(Windsor, ON) – Longtime teacher and Spitfires academic advisor Dennis Gignac has been named the team’s Alumni Association Coordinator.

Gignac, 62, taught at St. Anne Catholic High School for 35 years (1979-2013). From 2006-2013, Gignac also served as academic advisor for our high school aged players.

Through all this work on the eduction side, Dennis coached at the minor, high school and junior hockey levels for more than 25 years.

“The goal of the Windsor Spitfires Alumni Association is to make all former players feel welcome and a part of the continued success of the organization,” Gignac said. “I look forward to playing a role in re-establishing contact with all former members of the Spitfire family.”

Gignac says the club will be hosting former players at Spitfire home games throughout the remainder of the season; the first of which will be former Spitfires captain and two-time Memorial Cup champion Harry Young, as we celebrate 10 Years of Spitfires Hockey at the WFCU Centre on Thursday night.
